What an electric weekend of soccer for Empire FC! Our squad took on an action-packed, back-to-back schedule and delivered unmatched energy, heart, and non-stop hustle from the very first whistle on Saturday to the final whistle on Sunday.
On Saturday, we hit the road to Alberhill Sports Park 2 for an intense away battle against Lake SC Premier. The kids brought pure fire to the pitch, chasing down every play and keeping their spirits high through every minute. A massive shoutout to Andres, who earned Player of the Match with phenomenal effort and relentless determination!
We turned right around on Sunday to defend our home turf at El Potrero Park against Lake SC Blue. Playing back-to-back games is no easy feat, but this squad showed zero fatigue and 100% passion. Every single player dug deep, fought for 50/50 balls, and supported one another with huge smiles and high fives all afternoon.
The scoreboards didn’t tell the real story of our weekend—the real story was the joy, the incredible camaraderie, and the fearless way these kids play the game they love. They gave everything they had, had an absolute blast, and grew even closer as a team.
So proud of this crew—rest up, Empire, and let’s keep building at practice this week!
